Tackling issues such as the climate crisis, inequality, new patterns of violence and the major changes we are seeing in population and technology in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals - our shared vision for the future - will require cooperation across borders, sectors and generations.
The event took place in the Bangladesh Embassy in Tehran. In their discussions, the participants emphasized different aspects of the role of cultural and linguistic diversity for strengthening the unity of societies, fostering tolerance and respect for others.
High-level officials and experts today underscored the urgent need to strengthen regional cooperation and partnerships on cross-boundary disasters in Asia and the Pacific.
