Commemoration of International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism

United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Director Maria Dotsenko in a video, delivered the SG’s message on International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism for the participants in a seminar in Rasht, the Capital of Gilan Province on 23 August 2020.

A number of families of terror victims, human rights activists, university professors and government officials attended the seminar which was organized by Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism (ADVT) to mark the third International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism.

Vice President and Head of Martyrs Foundation Mr. Saeid Ohadi’s speech was delivered to the audience by Managing Director of Martyrs Foundation of Gilan Mr. Abduallah Pakari.

Other keynote speakers of the conference were: Head of Board of Directors of ADVT, Ms. Mansoureh Karami; Head of Human Rights Commission of the Majlis (Parliament), Ms. Zoreh Elahian and Governor of the Gilan Province Dr. Arsalan Zare.
