UNIDO and Government of Japan launch a capacity building project to strengthen small businesses and vulnerable communities involved in handicraft sector.
Through the targeted interventions, sustainable employment opportunities, skill trainings and market access will be promoted for youth and women-led handicraft businesses in Sistan and Baluchistan.
The project is conducting a comprehensive need assessment for MSMEs, local communities and involved private sector entities to mitigate the socio-economic impact of COVID-19 pandemic on Iranian vulnerable communities and capacitating Iranian businesses in handicraft sector.
Furthermore, UNIDO in communication with Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and handicraft and other relevant beneficiaries, will accommodate the local community’s needs specially youth and Women to create a better livelihood and sustainable jobs in Sistan and Baluchistan.
