About the event
This activity is part of the multi-annual project “Promoting Entrepreneurship Development and Upscaling Innovative SMEs in the Islamic Republic of Iran” initiated by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) following a formal request of Mr Azari Jahromi, Minister of Information and Communication Technology of Iran. The main goal of the project is to build capacity and to improve the competitiveness of ICT startups and scaleups in Iran.
As part of this project we are among others involved in mapping and analyzing the startup ecosystem of Iran, organizing training programmes for entrepreneurs and mentors in the ecosystem and establishing a virtual entrepreneurship hub where all initiatives come together.
On this page you can find more information about the series of Train the Trainer programmes that are part of our effort to strengthen the ICT startup ecosystem in Iran. These programmes will be provided by Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship.
In order to realize sustainable impact in the ICT startup ecosystem of Iran, ‘Train the Trainer’ programmes are part of the UNIDO project. In essence, by supporting startup mentors, coaches and other service providers in the ecosystem we aim to empower them to pass on this knowledge to startups and scaleups in the ecosystem. The programmes are about co-creation, this means blending cutting edge knowledge and international best practices with the expertise that exists in the local ecosystem.
We believe that innovation does not take place in isolation but rather, is the result of interactions between different service providers and support organizations. A well-functioning innovation ecosystem provides startups and scaleups with the necessary access to talent, capital and markets. The Train the Trainer programme aims to facilitate these processes and linkages to increase effective support for Iranian entrepreneurs overall.
