Briefing on UNIC and UN-NGO relations for Iranian NGO members

  • TEHRAN - United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) National Information Officer Mohammad Rajai-Moghadam briefed members of Ambassadors of Peace and Friendship Group (APFG) on history and activities of UNIC as well as UN-NGO relations during a webinar on 20 October 2020. 

The webinar was part of a series of virtual meetings to commemorate UN Decade of Action for SDGs in cooperation with Ambassadors of Peace and Friendship Group.

Referring to the SDG 11th, Director of the Ambassadors of Peace and Friendship Group, Dr. Tayebeh Mohammad, said human psychological security is very important for safe cities.

Then University Professor and Researcher, Dr. Morteza Tale Masouleh spoke about development. He said that to achieve sustainable development countries should act as a chain not as an island.

The poet and researcher of art and culture Mr. Yarta Yaran delivered his speech on the subject of wisdom and peace.

At the end of the meeting, Istgah music band displayed a video on World Food Day.
